 | Asturias

Language: Spanish

Description: Asturias is a region of north western Spain which used to be a kingdom in its own right. It is known as the dairy of Spain and produces an eponymous cheese and ham. Simple vegetables are of very high quality if you buy what is local and seasonal. The cuisine is basic but, as always, where fresh local produce is treated with esteem, of excellent quality.
