Description: An apéritif of white wine and brandy from Charentes, said to have been invented when a winemaker mistakenly spilt some unfermented grape juice into a barrel which contained a little Cognac. He hid it away and, when it was rediscovered, pineau des Charentes was discovered. (18% alcohol).
