Description: Côtes or Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence is a wine AOC area surrounding Aix-en-Provence where red, white and rosé wines are produced. There has been a long history of producing wines in this area, some under the Romans. About 70% of the wines are rosé. These and the red wines are made from Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Counoise, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. There are also a few white wines, made from Rolle, Ugni Blanc, Clairette, Sauvignon Blanc, Bourboulenc, Grenache and Semillon grapes.
