Description: Naples is the anglicised name of the province and port and capital town of Campania, Napoli. Naples is known throughout the world for its food, which was carried, particularly to North America by the poor of southern Italy, who went their to find a new way of life, taking their cuisine with them. Particularly well known are the pizza, ice cream and foods with tomatoes and aubergines (US: eggplant).
